My name’s Harry. I’m a 22-year-old wannabe vegan and occasional poet with an insatiable desire to get to the bottom of life’s many mysteries. Currently, my spiritual practices and personal philosophy are influenced by elements of Buddhism, Taoism and Neo-shamanism. I am a Reiki teacher who aims for as traditional an approach as possible. I was born with moderate Cerebral Palsy (Spastic Quadriplegia), a non-progressive condition caused by injury to the brain during or shortly after birth. At a young age, a combination of surgery and therapy (to reduce spasticity and improve my motor skills and coordination) helped to ensure a good outcome for me. Tightness in my leg muscles remains an obstacle, making it difficult for me to walk for very long at a time, but I nonetheless hope to do away with my wheelchair, someday.
This blog is something of an experiment, since I haven’t had much success with blogging, in the past, but I think that the time is right for something new.
